Regular Verbs

Most verbs are formed (known as Conjugated) in a standard way.

Past Present Future
I moved I move I will move
You moved You move You will move
S/He moved S/He moves S/He will move
We moved We move We will move
You moved You move You will move
They moved They move They will move

Irregular Verbs

Some of the most common verbs are formed differently and are known as irregular verbs. Here are a few examples :

Infinitive Past Simple Past Participle
to be was/were been
to do did done
to go went gone/been
to take took taken

Subject & Object

The subject of the verb is who or what does the action.
Tim caught, Alice forgot

The object of the verb is who or what is affected by the action.

The object can be directly affected...
Tim caught the dog.

or indirectly, if the action is performed for someone else.
Tim caught the dog for me.
